Milner was the engineer who designed the City of Birmingham -- Young John soon met Adine Cobb, and as their courtship progressed, the sparks began to fly - still love won out and they were married when our beloved Dena was not yet fifteen - Pa Cobb refused to speak to Uncle Milner until after their first child was born - They enjoyed a happy marriage throughout many, many years and young at heart until their very last days.¹ Adine Pearl COBB married John C. MILNER. Adine Pearl COBB was born on 19 September 1877 at Alabama. She was the daughter of Rowland Wallace COBB and Laura Chappell PRICE. Adine Pearl COBB died on 30 October 1960 at age 83.² She was buried circa 3 November 1960 at Vernon Cemetery, Vernon, Lamar County, Alabama.²
