     Richard Edmund WOODSON was born in 1840 at Chariton County, Missouri. He was the son of William Cowper WOODSON and Elizabeth Daniel LEWIS. Richard Edmund WOODSON died on 24 October 1897.
     Richard Edmund WOODSON was Joined the Confederate Army and served until the close of the war. (R1). He Went with the family in 1850 to St. Louis county, where he lived 10 years. At the outbreak of the Civil War he joined the Confederate army and served until the close of the war. He then settled in Arkansas near De Witt in Arkansas County where he married and lived out the remainder of his life. He died October 24, 1897.¹
