James WOODSON was born circa 1814 at Prince Edward County, Virginia. He was the son of Richard WOODSON and Rachel P. ROBERTSON. James WOODSON married Elizabeth GILLIAM in 1836.
James WOODSON James, born about 1814 in Prince Edward county Virginia, went with the family in 1817 to Chariton county, Missouri. He was married about 1836 to Elizabeth Gilliam. She was of the Gilliam family, who moved with Richard Woodson, in 1817, from Virginia to Missouri. The Gilliams setlled in Saline county. After the death of James Woodson (no date given), his widow was married, second, to William Goode and was still living in 1911 at Slater, Missouri.1
