     John MORTON was born circa 1729/30 at Henrico County, Virginia. He was the son of Thomas MORTON and Elizabeth WOODSON. John MORTON married Elizabeth ANDERSON on 15 September 1750 at Farmville, Prince Edward County, Virginia. John MORTON died in 1796 at Clinch Mountain, Virginia.
     John MORTON John Morton, of Prince Edward, born about 1720 and married Elizabeth Anderson, aged fourteen years, daughter of an English merchant at Farmville in Prince Edward county. 1

Besides the seven children listed below, John Morton and Elizabeth Anderson had seven more children, whose names have not been ascertained. Nor is it by any means certain that the seven named, are put down in the correct order of their births. 2
